An Acting Through Song Masterclass with Summer Strallen offers performers a rare opportunity to refine both their vocal performance and storytelling skills in a supportive, professional environment.
In this session, participants prepare and perform a song of their choice, using it as a vehicle to explore character, intention, and emotional truth. Summer works closely with each performer, offering tailored feedback and direction that focuses on unlocking authentic connection to the material. Through practical, in-the-moment coaching, she helps performers deepen their understanding of lyrics, clarify objectives, and make bold, specific acting choices that elevate their performance beyond simply “singing the song.”
Drawing on her extensive career in leading roles across the West End and beyond, Summer shares industry insight and techniques that bridge the gap between technical singing and compelling storytelling. The class is as much about confidence and presence as it is about craft, encouraging performers to take risks, trust their instincts, and fully inhabit the story they are telling.
